The oldest continuous club in the N.T. Established 1959
Affiliated with Pistol Australia and Pistol N.T the club hosts a wide range of ISSF disciplines related to our sport.
Through these bodies, Australian shooters (junior and adult) are able to compete in various matches in State, National, International, Commonwealth, World and Olympic events including the International Paralympic Committee (previously ISCD).Pistol shooting has the potential to take enthusiasts to State, National, International and Olympic competition should you have the desire and passion to succeed. The fellowship that comes with belonging to a pistol club is just as important to participants as is the sport itself.
Pistol shooting is an exciting and challenging sport. It is a sport that provides a never ending inner battle to improve ones technique, timing, and concentration. Some divisions require agility and movement while others only require the shooter to shoot from one position.
The ASPC regularly conducts a variety of different shooting disciplines and promotes interclub competition throughout the year with open and invitation shoots.
We are happy to show prospective members over the club, discuss the many aspects of our activities and give them an opportunity to use a pistol on the range. You need to be over the age of 12 years, have no criminal history, be able to produce a form of photo I.D. and complete some minor paperwork to be eligible to handle a pistol on our approved pistol range.
So why not pop out to the club on most Sundays and have a look around and become involved. The club caters for all ages, from 12yrs (Juniors) and beyond. There’s also a cozy clubroom and bar – which stays shuttered until the day’s shooting is over.

The shooting complex, just past the end of Undoolya Road, has excellent facilities: a 25 and a 50 metre range with 24 stands each. It also has a relatively new air conditioned indoor air pistol range, named after one of the club’s founders, Clarrie Smith, with 25 stands, each equipped with automatic target retrieval.
